Obituary of Retha Mae Holmes

On september 20,2022 The late Maebell Ates' Bloodsaw Love & Robert T. Blackshear gave birth to Retha maire Blackshear Holmes was born on January11, 1939 she was one of six siblings she had four sisters : Pearliemae Hall Idamae Morris, Fannie Gibson Janie Thomas ( deceased ) One Brother: Willie James Taylor (deceased ) Three Brother IN- Laws Willie Cayton Hall, Hendrix Gibson, & Bernard Thomas all ( deceased ) Retha marie Blackshear Holmes born and raised in Pineveiw Ga, Where she also attened school . She later had three children a Son: Minister James Holmes Sr.and two Daughters: Susan Sheffield & Frediemae Blackshear ( deceased) Retha M. Blackshear Holmes moved to Rochester New" York 1965 where she searched for work where she became employed by Strong Memorial Hospital, Retha worked 53 years and retired . Retha Marie loved her job and being around her co- workers and friends, She attened on a regular she loved going to church she was on the missionary, Retha was also very helpful to others she would take them to and from their Doctor's appoinments, Retha Marie also delivered food to people who were in need through the food bank, Retha also loved to be around her family. One of Retha's hobbies was camping and fishing she lookked forward to vacation time, Retha health had started to decline where she could"nt do the things she use to. And on September 20' 2022 Retha Marie was called home.
