Obituary of Oliver Cunningham

Oliver Cunningham, died at the age of 68, on September 7, 2017 at home with his family, after a long battle with cancer. Oliver was born to Charlie and Iolar Cunningham on August 22, 1950 in Lake City, SC. He attended Battery Park High School and was a member of Kennedyville United Methodist Church, in Nesmith, SC. As a young boy Oliver enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing baseball. In 1967 after the death of his father, his family relocated to Rochester, NY where he met and married Monette McCollough. He had two children, Tyrone and Sheeba, who he loved spending time with. He especially enjoyed the time he spent with his grandchildren. Oliver worked at Gerber Foods for about 5 years, then went on to work at General Motors for several years. Following that he began working in the roofing industry, where he became an excellent roofer, and contined working in roofing for many years until he became disabled. Oliver is predeceased by his father and mother Charlie and Iolar Cunningham, his wife Monette Cunningham, son Tyrone Cunningham, brothers David C. Mack, Charlie "Bee" Cunningham and Willie H. Cunningham, sister Pearlie Mae Tisdale. He leaves to cherish his memory, daughter Sheeba Cunningham, one brother Charlie (Linda) Cunningham, three sister-in-laws Marilyn Cunningham (Rochester, NY), Jeanette McCollough and Sandra McCrea of Andrews, SC., three brother-in-laws, Jerome Tisdale, Maddison McCollough, Roy McCollough, all of Rochester, NY; two aunts, Coolie Cunningham, Philadelphia, PA, and Anzie Mack, Rochester, NY, a very special niece, Mashicka Cunningham-Rogers, Buffalo, NY, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
