Lucille Watson entered into a peaceful rest on Saturday August 29, 2020 at Rochester General Hospital. She was born in Sumter South Carolina to the late Willard White & Essie Eaddy. She attended Elementary & High-School in South Carolina where she met and married Fred Watson and from that union 6 children were born. In 1956 Lucille relocated to Rochester New York and she began work at Genesee Hospital in the Maternity Ward and retired after 39 years. She loved cooking, watching soap operas, helping others, especially if they needed a place to stay, or a meal to eat. Lucille was a faithful member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church where she was on several auxiliaries such as; Missionary Board, Nurses Guild, Pastors Aide, Willing Workers & Kitchen Committee. She loved her church and even when she wasn't feeling her best she still attended. Lucille loved her family, especially all of her grandchildren. Her smile, her love, and her caring attitude towards others were her quintessential qualities. Lucille's caring quality was exemplified by her willingness to help anyone in need. 144 Cedarwood Terrace was a safe haven for family, friends, and sometimes even strangers. Lucille is pre-deceased in death by her husband Fred Watson, her son Nelson Watson, & many siblings. She leaves to cherish her memories, 5 children; Chester (Francine), Runette, Fred, Loretta Watson-Robinson, Shawn (Timmy) (Monica) Watson. Lucille Watson is also survived by 13 Grandchildren, 39 Great Grand Children & 12 Great Great Grand Children along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
