Obituary of Ronnie A. Rogers

Ronnie A Rogers the only child was born on January 13, 1960 to Roy Curry and Jean Clark in Clarksdale Mississippi. Ronnie graduated from Clarksdale High School, Clarksdale Mississippi in 1978. After graduating high school, he went on to college studying Business Economics as he took on as his major at Coahoma Junior College for one year. Ronnie attended church on a regular as a young boy growing up in Mississippi and enjoyed going. He had a long time high school friend London Sykes who he has always mentioned in many conversations, along with two other close friends Jerry Ingrahm and Mike. Ronnie relocated to Rochester NY in 1979 where he took on many jobs but landed one at the City of Rochester as a machine operator where he remained for 8 years. In 1986 Ronnie met a very devoted friend, his love of his life Diane Scott Jackson. He remained a loyal friend to Diane up until his passing. Ronnie was a sports lover and his favorite of all was basketball. His favorite team was Cleveland Cavaliers, favorite player Lebron James. He enjoyed fishing and loved fried fish, but his favorite dish was bar-b-que ribs. On his off time, he spent it with his family and friends laughing talking and reminiscing. Ronnie departed this earthly life on June 12, 2018. He is predeceased by his father Roy Curry, his grandmother Lillian Red and stepfather James Clark. He is survived by and leaving to cherish his loving memories, his mother Jean Clark of Rochester NY. A special Uncle Larry Red, Tupelo, Mississippi, two great uncles James (Hattie) Simmons, Chicago Illinois and Censes Simmons, Monticello NY. A very dear friend Diane Scott Jackson, Rochester NY, special cousins Reginald Red, Orlando Florida, Bra'Niya Red, Rochester NY and Kenny Hyson, Rochester NY and a host of other cousins, family and friends.
