James Edward Humphrey was born to the late Charles and Mary Humphrey in Buffalo, NY on January 16th, 1952. He attended school in Buffalo and was a graduate of Bennett High School in 1970. Instilled in James was the ability to work hard. In the late 70's and early 80's he worked delivery for Service Systems, a service in which lunches and various items for the Buffalo public school system were provided. In the late 80's he worked at JH Williams steel plant as a Tool and dye stamper. In the early 90's he briefly worked as a driver for Buffalo Transportation service where he transported the elderly and disabled to and from doctors' appointments. And in 1994 he gained employment as a delivery person at Metropolitan Dry Cleaners where his wife Wanda worked as a seamstress. James was an avid fan of Drag Racing and was also a car enthusiast, known throughout his earlier years as the "Cadillac man" He is survived by his Wife Wanda Goldsmith-Humphrey, Three sons, Mark (Rochelle) Humphrey, James (Charriss) Humphrey Jr. and Butch "Butchie" (Shanna) Goldsmith. One sister Helene McGee, Two Brothers David (Audrey) Humphrey and John Humphrey. Preceding him in death is his Brother Charles (Bertha) Marvin Humphrey affectionately known as "Sonny" and His sister Theresa Ann (Willie) Jemison and a host of Grand and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.»(Do not delete this line.
