Obituary of Robert Lawson

Robert Lawson was born on October 17, 1936 to the union of the late Cleveland and Mattie J. Lawson. He was the second son and the fourth oldest born into a family of thirteen children. In 1944, the family relocated to Sodus, New York, evetually settled in Rochester, New York.
Mr. Lawson attended school in Sodus, New York and Rochester City School District.
Mr. Lawson loved his family, he would spend Saturdays visiting love ones and he would spend Sundays at home with family watching westerns and cowboy stories.
He was a dedicated employee, he worked with Brighton Asphalt Company for over fourty years as a construction specialist until becoming physically disabled. Due to his disability Mr. Lawson became a resident of New Roc nursing home. Although he had physical limitations, Mr. Lawson was strong willed and maintained his independence through public transportation. He contined to grocery shop and managed his finances.
He leaves to cherish his memories: three brothers: Curtis (Doris) Cook, Royal Carmichael, Marvin Cook all of Rochester, NY: two sisters: Staffie (Oscar) Morales and Betty ( Eugene) McCoy all of Rochester, NY. A grandson, Robert Scott of North Carolina and many other relatives and friends.
