Obituary of Shirley Ann Prather

Shirley Prather was born on July 2nd, 1960 in Rochester, New York to the late Chaffer Brock, and Lila Brock. She was the youngest of three siblings. Throughout her life, she worked at All State, the Rochester City School District as a teachers aid, Pinkerton Security for 10 years, and Rochester School for the Deaf from which she retired in 1999. Sister Shirley was a loving mother and grandmother, and very compassionate. she would often feed the neighborhood children when she lived on Mount Hope Avenue. Most importantly, she loved the Lord. She gave her life completely over to God in 2006, and hasn't looked back since. Sister Shirley lives on through three children:Lila, Rakim, and Asia, and 5 grand children: Emmanuel Anaira, Delfin, Azalea, and Joaquin.
