Kenneth Baxter, Sr entered this life in Miami, Florida on January 17, 1960. The first born to Richard (Rucky) Baxter and Mildred Kelly. Kenneth came to Rochester at the age of 8 and attended area grammar schools before graduating from Benjamin Franklin H.S. in 1978. Shortly after high school Kenneth served and was honorably discharged from the United States Army.
Kenneth loved the Lord and was a devoted Deacon at Church of The Covenant under the direction of Bishop Willie F. Davis. He had a sincere love for all people, leaving no one to feel like a stranger. His smile was contagious and he had a heart of pure gold. Kenny had a "QUIET STRENGTH" and was truly a Man of faith who would speak things into existence - often telling his Mother-In-Law, Anna Smith, that he would one day marry Janet.
Kenneth adored his 4-children - Kenny Jr, Keith, Kevin and Janeen and took great pride in their every accomplishment. As a Step-Father to Eugene, Joy and Corey, he was equally as proud, having been there for Corey's entire life.
Kenneth was known and admired for his mild manner, his friendliness to all and his dedication as a Husband, Father, Grand-Father and Friend. He was an extremely hardworker and worked tirelessly at Eastman Kodak, Bausch & Lomb and IBM before becoming ill.
