Marian Donaldson, 73, passed away on 13, Feb. 2023 at Unity Hospital in Rochester, NY. Marian Donaldson was born on July 06, 1949, in Salisbury, MD. to Earl Thomas Parson Sr. and Catherine Sample. Marian grew up in Salisbury, MD. Where she attendant Salisbury High school. During her teenage years she met her soon to be husband, Archie Donaldson. They moved to Rochester, NY. Where they raised their three children. Marian was a stay home mom. She was a foster mom to a host of children for over 20 years. She enjoyed going to the Casino and bingo. Marian married Archie in 1977 in Salisbury, MD. They were happily married for 42 years, until Archie Donaldson was called home on June 7, 2019. Marian was preceded in death by her parents Earl Thomas Parson Sr. and Catherine Sample, brother Earl Thomas Parson Jr, sister Helen Godwin (Duck), and son A. Donaldson. Marian is survived by her daughter Marie (Woodrow) Stroman of Williston, SC; son Archie (Alicia) Donaldson of Rochester, NY; son Jeffrey Donaldson of Atlanta, GA; and daughter Renee Donaldson of Rochester, NY; her brother Wilbert Cook of Salisbury, Md; and sister Lula Sample Garrett of Salisbury, Md; and brother Robert Sample (Towanda) of Salisbury, MD; and sister Linette Taylor (Kyle) of Salisbury, Md; Her 27 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and God daughter Jarena Haygood. Two childhood friends Charlene Dashiell and Peggy Carter and other relatives.
