Obituary of Saudah Amatullah

Sauda Amatullah was born Ernestine McFadden to the late Adam and Lela McFadden in Holly Springs, Mississippi on March 4, 1946. In 1954 the family relocated to Rochester New York and at the age of 8 Sauda was off to a world of many new opportunities. She was the fifth child born into the family of soon-to-be ten. In 1962 Sauda gave birth to her one and only child, a daughter Charmaine McFadden which she renemed Rabiah Amatullah. Rabiah gave Sauda her only grandson, Idris Ali Abdullah. In the late 60's Sauda embraced Islam and strived to become the best Muslim woman she could be. She taught many family members how to pray and fast, eat and study the ways of Islam, she even gave them all new names.
