Obituary of Sondra Denise Griffin

Sondra Denise (Scoop) Griffin, was born in Rochester, New York to the late Willie James Thomas and the late Sheron(Balkum) Henry on July 6, 1969. Sondra graduated from Franklin High School on June 19, 1987. Shortly after graduating she started working as a Home Health Aide, where she did over 29 years of service. She loved helping others in any manner that she could. In the late 2017, she saw it necessary to further her education at SUNY Brockport receiving her bachelor's degree in Human Services.. Shortly after she was employed by East House as a Case Manager. * Sondra became an active member of True Light COGIC where she loved to praise God. She worked close with other helping/teaching the youth(Sunshine band). One of her favorite quotes she would say is "God got me." Sondra enjoyed spending time with her family. Sondra will be greatly missed with her sense of humor. *Sondra departed this earthly life on January _____2023. Sondra Denise Griffin is predeceased by her only child Ariell Griffin, Mother Sheron Henry, Father Willie James Thomas, and sister Angela Thomas. She is survived by four siblings: Andrew Henry, Diane McClendon, Cynthia Thomas-Ray(Richard), Anthony Thomas and a host of Aunts, Uncles, mother -in- law, sister- in- law, nieces, cousins and friends.
