William Bermudez was born on July 22, 1941 to Juan and Clemencia Bermudez, in Salinas, Puerto Rico; the youngest of five siblings. He moved to New York City with his family in 1949, then moved to Rochester, New York in 1953 at the age of 13. Willie enlisted in the U.S. Army in November of 1959 and separated in 1962. He met the love of his life Gregoria DeJesus and together they raised four children, Efrain (Papo), Juanita, Cheryl and Danny. Throughout his life he worked several jobs including Fashion Park, Case Hoyt and eventually retired from St. Margaret Mary Church in 2007. In his younger years, he enjoyed roller skating, puzzles and dancing. He also enjoyed fishing, the New York Yankees, the Buffalo Bills, and his dog Henry! He is predeceased by his mother Clemencia Antonetti-Bermudez, his father Juan Bermudez-Reyes, his brother Jesus Bermudez, his sister Virginia Vazquez and his son Daniel Bermudez. He has survived by his loving wife of 63 years Gregoria Bermudez, sisters Mercedes Bermudez and Juana Bermudez, his son Efrain DeJesus, his daughters Juanita(Willie) Grimes and Cheryl DeJesus, grandchildren, great- grandchildren, his good friend Dee, and a host of other family and close friends.
