While visiting family in Selma, she met Johnny Chatmon whom she later married and moved to Syracuse, NY with. After his death, she met B.C. Reed of Conway, Arkansas, who passed in August of 2000, with whom she shared two children with. Lucille was employed by Home Health Aides of CNY until April 1995 when she retired. Lucille loved working in home health due to her passion to help people and to provide genuine care and comfort onto others.
